Glass Street Kindergarten is a not-for-profit community run kindergarten located in the leafy streets of Kew East. We offer a rich and engaging kindergarten education program for children in our three-year-old group and four-year-old group.
Our educators are dedicated to creating a learning environment that fosters a strong sense of community. They actively promote and encourage parental contribution and involvement while building strong community partnerships. It is a great place to meet other parents and children in the local area. We warmly invite parents to take an active role in their child’s learning journey, helping to create a collaborative atmosphere where educators, parents, and children grow together.
Our landscaped playground is nestled in a canopy of tall trees which provide excellent sun protection in the warmer months.

Renovation 2026
Glass Street Kindergarten has been awarded a renovation grant, with works starting in January 2026 and are expected to take up to 9 months.
To make this exciting transformation possible, our kindergarten will operate from Balwyn Leisure Centre, 230 Balwyn Road, Balwyn North.
The space at Balwyn Leisure Centre is fully equipped to cater to our needs and we will continue to have the same caring, play-based program delivered by our experienced and passionate team, in a safe and welcoming setting.
We are excited about the opportunity to be given a beautiful new learning environment.
